Welcome to the new and improved Brookfield, Illinois Historical Society Website!
In an effort to improve accessibility, readability and ease of use we are creating a new website with an updated format and layout. As you can see the new website is a work in progress. Over time we will be including background information about the Society in the “About” section under “What We Do” as well as additional content.
We’ve been working on a few construction projects to maintain and improve the 128 year old former train station the Society is fortunate to inhabit. Look for updates in the future on these projects.
Last fall the Society completed our annual series of once per month Open Houses in addition to co-hosting our 18th Annual Monsters on Mainstreet on Saturday October 29, 2016. Go to the Calendar & Events page to enjoy a recap of Monsters and a list of those who helped make the event a fun day as well as pictures of participants, including the simply adorable lion and rabbit!
